This innovative online program gives the opportunity to twenty students from emerging countries to develop scientific, management and politics skill on climate change.
The project builds capacity in priority nations where climate change is posing a major threat to human and ecosystem well-being. In partnership with Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, we propose a Scholarship Programme for the Online PG Certificate in Climate Change Management to impart higher-level skills and intellectual capital to local stakeholders in the least developed countries and those most vulnerable to Climate Change. We name these awards the “The Prince Albert II of Monaco Scholarships”.
This provides twenty students with advanced knowledge and skills in the science, economics and policy of climate change management. It trains them in the latest thinking in addressing global climate change, covering adaptation and mitigation solutions across a wide range of sectors and regions.
The programme comprises three courses moving from the science of climate change and its impacts, through the key adaptation and mitigation solutions, to examination of the business response to climate change, and the risks and opportunities it represents. It utilises a blend of interactive content, videos, virtual case studies and online discussions to explore the science and policy responses to climate change.
The scholarships provides the tools to mitigate the impact of climate change by influencing and informing policy development, developing local solutions, capitalising on local knowledge and increasing understanding of the local effects of climate change.
